Ingredients

  • 1½ cups rice
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 orange zest
  • 17.6 oz (500 g) condensed coconut milk or traditional condensed milk
  • 10 oz (300 ml) plant-based milk or milk of choice
  • More cinnamon powder
  • Cinnamon sticks

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the stainless steel inner pot inside the Instant Pot®. Put in the rice, water, salt, orange zest, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Close and lock the Instant Pot® lid. Make sure the steam release handle is turned to Sealing. Press Rice and set time to 12 Minutes.
  2. When done, press Cancel and turn the steam release handle to Venting. Once all the pressure is released, open the lid and add the two types of milk and cinnamon powder.
  3. Press Saute and set time to 10 Minutes. Now stir the ingredients until they are fully incorporated. Do not stop stirring until well incorporated.
  4. Press Cancel and your rice pudding will be ready to decorate and serve.
