Slow Cooker Mulled Apple Cider


  • 6 honey crisp apples
  • 6 granny smith apples
  • 8 cups Water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 star anise
  • 1 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1 large orange
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Place all ingredients except the brown sugar in the pot.
  • Place the lid on top and Slow Cook on High for 4 Hours, or on Low for 8 Hours.
  • After the time is done, mash the fruit to disperse more flavor.
  • Strain all the solids and liquids through a fine mesh strainer into a large mixing bowl. Discard the solids. Return the cider back to the pot on the Warm setting for a hot drink, or cool, refrigerate,and serve over ice.
