Slow Cooked Hoisin Miso Ginger Glazed Tofu


  • 4 scallions
  • 1 lb extra firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • half red finger pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth or water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Add the hoisin, miso paste, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, red finger pepper, sesame oil, sesame seeds and vegetable broth. Whisk together.
  • Add the cubed tofu into the pot; stir in.
  • Close the lid. Set valve to release.
  • Select SLOW COOK-Low and set the time to 3 hours. Press START.
  • Once the cooking cycle is done, press CANCEL.
  • Serve the tofu with sauce from bottom of pot and garnish with extra scallions, red finger pepper and sesame seeds if desired.
