Ingredients
  • ½ lb. shrimp
  • 4 slices of milk bread
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sesame oil, divided
  • 2 tbsp. green onions, finely sliced
  • ⅛ tsp. MSG
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 4 tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 ½ tbsp. sugar
  • 1 ½ tbsp. gochugaru
Instructions
  • Devein, peel, and mince the shrimp into a paste.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp paste, baking soda, garlic salt, garlic powder, onion powder, egg white, pepper, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, green onions, and MSG.
  • Cut the crust off of the milk bread slices and smear the shrimp paste mixture on evenly.
  • Brush oil onto the outside of the sandwich and air fry at 350°F / 176°C for 10 minutes and flip half way through.
  • To make the sweet and spicy dipping sauce, mix the ketchup, oyster sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and gochugaru in a small bowl. Enjoy!
