2 pounds baking potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup water
1-¼ tsp salt divided
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
¼ tsp black pepper
¾ cup milk
Instructions
Combine potatoes, water, 1 tsp salt and garlic powder in Instant Pot; mix well.
Secure lid and move pressure release valve to Sealing position. Press Pressure Cook or Manual; cook at High Pressure 8 Minutes.
When cooking is complete, use quick release. Add butter, remaining ¼ tsp salt and pepper. Gradually add milk, mashing with potato masher until desired consistency is reached.
