Pumpkin Pie French Toast Sticks


  • 1 loaf Texas toast
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Butter as needed
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine whole milk, eggs, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  • Cut each slice of Texas toast into even strips, about 1-inch thick.
  • Quickly dunk each toast stick in the milk mixture. Do not over soak or the bread will be too soggy
  • Lightly butter the air fryer basket. Air Fry at 350°F / 180°C for 7-8 Minutes until golden brown. Do not turn during the cooking process. Continue air frying in batches until complete.
  • Meanwhile, combine remaining sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt in a large bowl. Once the French toast sticks are finished cooking, immediately dunk each in the sugar spice mixture. If you wait too long, the sugar won’t stick to the toast.
  • Serve with maple syrup, honey, and more pumpkin pie spice!
