Orange Cake


  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup orange juice 2 oranges
  • ¼ cup plain or Greek yogurt, plain flavor
  • 2 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • confectioners’ sugar
  • In a bowl, beat the 4 eggs with the sugar, oil, and orange juice. Gradually add in, little by little, the flour, baking powder, salt, yogurt, and, finally, the orange zest.
  • Place the mixture in the pan and remove the rack that is inside the basket.
  • On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Bake, then set time to 40 Minutes and temperature to 345˚F (175˚C). Press Start.
  • Very carefully, put the silicone pan inside the basket.
  • Remove the pan, let cool, and unmold. Optional: dust cake with confectioner’s sugar.
