Kassler Chops with Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 5-6 large potatoes, whole
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • milk, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 Kassler chops, smoked
  • 2½ tbsp brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put the whole potatoes, without anything else, in the Instant Vortex basket. Close.
  2. On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Roast, then set time to 30 Minutes and temperature to 400ºF (205ºC). Press Start. It is not necessary to turn the potatoes over when prompted by the fryer.
  3. Remove the potatoes while hot and cut in half. Use a spoon to scoop out the flesh and mash.
  4. Add the butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Add milk according to the texture you desire for your mashed potatoes. Set aside.
  5. Spread the sugar on a plate and press the chops on both sides to create a sugar crust. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Roast, then set time to 10 Minutes and temperature to 400ºF (205ºC). Once Add Food appears on the display, open the basket and add the pork chops. Close. It is not necessary to turn the chops over when prompted by the fryer.
  7. Serve hot on top of the mashed potatoes.
