Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes prior to cooking
Instructions
Season the cut chicken with salt, then wrap a slice of bacon around each piece. Thread three pieces of bacon wrapped chicken onto a pre-soaked skewer. Repeat until you have 4 skewers.
Combine the barbecue sauce and honey in a heat-proof glass baking dish. Place the dish in the air fryer and Air Fry at 350°F / 175°C for 3-5 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling. Carefully remove the dish and set the sauce aside.
Place the skewers into the air fryer. Air Fry the skewers at 400°F / 205°C for 10 minutes without any glaze to prevent the honey from burning.
After 10 minutes, brush the skewers with the BBQ glaze mixture and Air Fry for another 3 minutes. Then, rotate the skewers, brush with more glaze, and continue air frying for an additional 2-4 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the bacon is crispy.
Serve the cooked chicken right away, either as a tasty appetizer or a hearty main dish. Enjoy!
