Sweet, spicy and savory, these Korean-inspired ribs can be served as a main dish or as a crowd-pleasing snack for the big game.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Peel off the white membrane from the backs of the ribs if needed, and discard.
- Combine 1 1/2 cups water, soy sauce, onions, vinegar, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, gochujang, garlic and pepper in the inner pot of the Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer. Add in the ribs.
- Place the lid on the pot and lock in place to seal. Select the Pressure Cook/Manual setting on High Pressure for 25 minutes.
- When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure. Once the pressure is released, remove the lid.
- Using tongs, remove the ribs from inner pot. Drain the cooking liquid and pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.
- Meanwhile, make the gochujang barbeque sauce by whisking together the gochujang, ketchup, honey, brown sugar and soy sauce until blended and the sugar is dissolved. Brush the sauce all over ribs.
- Ensure that the inner pot is dry, then place the air fryer basket in the pot. In two batches, add the ribs to the basket standing upright. Using the Air Fryer Lid, select Broil at 400°F / 205°C for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the ribs are heated through and the sauce starts to caramelize.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
