Perfect for entertaining, these sausage and peppers can be made in a bigger batch to feed a crowd.
Don’t stress if you can’t find an amber beer, pale ales will work just fine!
Turn on the Sauté function at 320°F for 15 Minutes and add the olive oil. Sear the Italian sausage until browned on all sides, working in batches as to not overcrowd the pot.
Add the sliced peppers, sliced onions, salt, and beer to the pot. Stir until everything is coated.
Place the lid on top and Slow Cook on High for 3 Hours, or on Low for 6, stirring occasionally.
After 3 hours, remove the lid and Sauté at 320°F for an additional 30 Minutes until the sauce is reduced. Season to taste.
Serve sausage and peppers warm on mini-French rolls. Use the lingering sauce to dip the sandwiches freely. Enjoy!
