Roasted Teriyaki Salmon

Ingredients
  • 4 salmon pieces
  • 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • a pinch of black pepper
Instructions
  • Season all sides of salmon with salt and black pepper.
  • Grease oven rack with spray oil.
  • Place oven rack on a cutting board.
  • Place salmon pieces on the rack.
  • Insert the temperature probe horizontally to the thickest part of the largest piece of salmon . Try to use pieces with similar sizes for equal doneness.
  • Place rack to the roast level of the oven. Open the cap on the jack located on the right side of the internal chamber. Insert the probe end into the oven jack.
  • Place oven tray one level below the oven rack.
  • Close the door. Select ROAST. Probe will be visible on the left-hand side of the control panel with a line underneath indicating it can be set.
  • Set the probe temperature to 145F.
  • Touch Oven and set the oven temperature to 450F.
  • Touch START.
  • Touch probe heading again during the cooking period to monitor the current internal temperature of the food vs. the set internal temperature.
  • Add teriyaki sauce to a small cup and set aside with a brush.
  • When the probe temperature reaches the125F – 130F degree band, open the door. Slide the oven rack forward and brush top and sides of the salmon generously with the teriyaki sauce.
  • Push back rack and close the door.
  • When the program ends, take food out and let them rest for 5 minutes before enjoying.
