Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup (75 g) butter
  • 2½ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
  • 4 cups wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp melted butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until the butter melts and the mixture is lukewarm. Place the mixture in the mixer bowl and add the yeast. Let it activate for 5 Minutes.
  2. Add to the yeast and milk mixture the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Beat with the hook attachment for 6-8 Minutes or until the dough has taken shape and feels smooth
  4. Place in the oiled bowl of the Instant Pot®, put in Yogurt mode for 30 Minutes and cover with plastic and let stand until doubled in volume. If after the time it has not doubled its volume, add another 30 Minutes .
  5. Cut the dough into 12 pieces of the same size and form balls that look very smooth on all sides. Place in a lightly greased mold that fits inside the Instant Vortex container and let them rest covered until doubled in size.
  6. Using the Instant Vortex panel, press Bake , set time to 16-18 Minutes (or until perfectly browned and cooked through) and temperature to 161°C . Press Start .
  7. Once the Add Food message appears , open the basket and add the buns. Close.
  8. Once out of the Instant Vortex and hot, brush with melted butter.

Notes

Note: if you do not have a large enough container, you can place the buns directly on the Vortex container greased on all sides. Lower the temperature to 155°C and give them 3-4 more minutes.
