French Toast Casserole


  • 3 cups stale bread hand-chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 2 heaped tsp powdered sugar or the equivalent in
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • maple syrup or palm honey
  • Put the bread in a container suitable for the Instant Vortex. Reserve.
  • In a bowl or deep plate, beat the eggs, milk, icing sugar and vanilla essence.
  • Pour the mixture over the bread and ensure that the bread is completely wet with the preparation. Cover with aluminum foil and reserve.
  • Using the Instant Vortex panel, press Bake , set the time to 15 Minutes and the temperature to 180°C . Press Start.
  • When the message Add Food appears , insert the container with the preparation into the basket of the Instant Vortex.
  • When the Turn Food message appears , remove the basket from the Instant Vortex and carefully remove the aluminum foil from the bowl. Reinsert the Instant Vortex basket.
  • When the end of cooking alarm sounds, open the compartment and remove the French toast.
  • Serve immediately, optionally with maple syrup or palm honey.
