Crispy Spiced Lentils

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1/8-in lentils, 4 mm
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 tsp total seasoning
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, soak the lentils in boiling water for 20 Minutes or until you see that they have absorbed much of the water and increased in size.
  2. Drain the water.
  3. Once dry, season with total seasoning, olive oil, and salt. Stir well.
  4. On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Bake and then set time to 10 Minutes and temperature to 395°F (200˚C). Press Start.
  5. Once Add Food appears on the display, open the tray, place aluminum foil on the rack, add the seasoned lentils, and close. When Turn Food appears on the display, open the tray and carefully stir the lentils with a spoon so that they bake evenly. Close again. Allow to continue cooking until the appliance turns Off.
  6. Once again, Press Air Fry.
  7. Set time to 4 Minutes and temperature to 390˚F (200˚C). Press the Start button and close the tray.
  8. When Turn Food appears on the display, open the tray, and carefully stir again. Allow to continue cooking until the appliance turns Off.
  9. Remove from the tray and let cool.
  10. You can add them to salads or hot dishes, serve as an appetizer, or store in a glass jar with a screw cap to use whenever you like.
