Crispy Ham and Cheese Buns


  • 8 slices Bread:
  • 6 slices cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp milk
  • ⅓ cup panko or breadcrumbs
  • ⅟3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • Mix breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  • Lightly beat eggs with the milk.
  • Remove crust from bread slices; flatten the bread slices with a rolling pin. Brush the bread edges with egg wash. For every slice of bread, place 1½ slices of cheese and some ham in the middle, leaving a ⅓” (1 cm) border. Cover with another slice of bread (brushed with egg wash on inside) and join the edges, pressing with your fingers to seal.
  • Brush the top of the bread with egg wash and sprinkle abundantly with breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are generously coated.
  • On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Air Fry, then set time to 4 Minutes and the temperature to 375°F (190°C). Press Start.
  • When Add Food appears on the display panel, place the pieces of bread in the air fryer.
  • When done, remove from Instant Vortex and serve immediately.
