Cookware Chemical Disclosures

Our products contain iron, chromium, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, aluminum, carbon black, titanium dioxide and/or PFAS (including PTFE, PFA, and FEP), and may contain other chemicals too numerous for inclusion on the product label.

California’s AB 1200 requires manufacturers of cookware to disclose listed chemicals (see DTSC Authoritative Lists) if those chemicals are intentionally added to the product’s food contact surfaces or handles to achieve a functional result, regardless of the amount added. While chemicals present in components made of stainless steel/aluminum alloy/ceramic/plastic may not meet the AB 1200 definition of “intentionally added,” these chemicals are identified for any product with those components.

Colorado’s House Bill 22-1345 requires information about why PFAS chemicals are intentionally added.  PTFE, PFA and FEP are all fluoropolymers that create a non-stick surface on the food-contact surface of cookware and bakeware products. Although inert solids, PTFE, PFA and FEP are classified as PFAS substances and must be disclosed.
