Ingredients

  • 1 cup jasmine rice (rinsed)
  • 6 cups fluid ( water + a can of low-sodium chicken broth)
  • 3 slices of giner
  • ¼ cup dried scallops

Nothing says cozy breakfast like a warm bowl of silky-smooth porridge. This recipe takes all the stirring and babysitting out of the process — just set it in your Instant Pot® and let it work its magic. Perfect for lazy mornings, sick days, or when you’re craving a taste of home.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Rinse the rice thoroughly, then soak for 30 minutes for a smoother texture.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, broth and water mixture, ginger slices, and dried scallops to your Instant Pot.
  3. Seal the Instant Pot and cook on Porridge mode at High Pressure for 25 minutes
  4. Let the pressure naturally release for 15 minutes, then quick release the rest.
  5. Stir and remove the ginger slices, then taste and season with salt and white pepper powder as desired.
  6. Serve hot with toppings of your choice.
