  • 1 1/2 cups full-fat canned coconut milk (shake well before using)
  • 1/4-1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of fine sea salt

Start simple and take it wherever you want. This smooth coconut base comes together in the InstantChill Ice Cream Maker, ready for whatever you’re in the mood for—fruit, chocolate, something crunchy, or nothing at all.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Taste the base before churning. Coconut milks vary in sweetness, and the flavor will mellow slightly once chilled—adjust sugar as needed.
  3. Pour the mixture into the InstantChill™ Mixing Bowl.
  4. Use the Non-Dairy program, set to 24 minutes.
  5. Once the program is complete, scoop the ice cream into bowls or containers and enjoy immediately. Freeze further for a firmer texture.
