Vortex 6 Quart - Restaurant Style Cheddar Biscuits


  • 2 cups baking mix
  • 3 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/3 cups Water
  • parchment paper
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/8 tsp dried parsley
  • Cut parchment paper into six 3 inch diameter circles and spread in a circle on the cooking tray. Do not cover the lifting ring in the center of the tray.
  • In a large bowl, mix together baking mix, cheese and water until a dough forms. 
  • Evenly divide the dough onto the six parchment circles.
  • Place the air fry basket (but not the cooking tray) into the cooking chamber.
  • Using the display panel, select AIR FRY, then adjust the temperature to 320°F and the time to 12 minutes, then touch START.
  • When the display indicates “Add Food” carefully lower the cooking tray into the air fry basket.
  • When the display indicates “Turn Food” do nothing.
  • Meanwhile, mix the Topping Mixture ingredients in a small bowl.
  • When the Air Fry program is complete, remove the biscuits and peel off the parchment circles. Brush with topping mixture and serve hot.
