Ingredients
  • 300 g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g double cream
  • 100 ml lemonade
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 large egg
  • Clotted cream, as needed
  • Jam, as needed
Instructions
  • Add the flour and baking powder to a mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre, then add the double cream and Lemonade.
  • Gently bring the dough together with a spoon, then tip it out to knead until just combined on a floured surface.
  • Press the dough into a disk shape about 3cm thick, then use a 6cm cookie cutter dusted with flour to cut your scones. Press the cutter straight down and avoid twisting for best results.
  • Select Bake, set the temperature to 190°C/375°F and the time for 10 Minutes, and press Start.
  • When the air fryer has preheated, and you are prompted to ‘Add Food’, place the scones inside the appliance basket, ensuring each scone is nuzzled slightly against its neighbours, who will help it rise on baking.
  • Brush the scone tops with egg. Bake the scones for 9-10 Minutes or until golden and cooked through. Serve immediately with clotted cream and jam!
