German Bratwurst with Peppers and Onions

Ingredients
  • 6 bratwurst sausage
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 orange bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 green bell pepper, julienned
  • ½ sweet onion
  • 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • Coarse ground mustard, as needed
  • Sauerkraut, as needed
  • 6 hot dog buns
Instructions
  • In a small mixing bowl, toss the julienned peppers and sliced onions with olive oil and salt.
  • Evenly distribute the pepper and onion mixture in the air fryer basket. Top with bratwurst sausages.
  • Air Fry bratwursts, peppers, and onions at 385°F / 196°C for 12-14 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through.
  • After 12-14 minutes, increase the temperature to 400°F / 205°C and Air Fry for an additional 2-4 minutes, or until golden.
  • To assemble: Spread the mustard on warmed hot dog buns. Top with a bratwurst, peppers and onions, and sauerkraut. Enjoy!
