Basic Jasmine Rice


  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Measure and rinse two cups of jasmine rice under cool running water until water runs clear, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Strain well, and add rice with salt to Instant Pot.
  • Using the same measuring cup as the rice, measure two cups of cool water and add to pot.
  • Secure lid and fasten shut.
  • Select Pressure Cook and adjust time to 3 Minutes.
  • Allow 10 minutes. of Natural Release after cooking.
  • Then flip the steam valve to quick release any remaining pressure.
  • Fluff rice with a fork or rice spatula and enjoy!
