Nisha Vora is the founder of Rainbow Plant Life, where she teaches home cooks how to master vegan cooking with flavor-packed recipes and expert tips. Based in San Diego, Nisha holds a B.A. in Political Science and Legal Studies from UC Berkeley and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, but her true passion lies in the kitchen. After a career in law left her unfulfilled, Nisha left the corporate world to follow her heart and build a space that celebrates vegan cooking and the joy of food. Inspired by her upbringing in a vegetarian Indian family, Nisha began cooking at a young age and later developed a deep love for global cuisines during her travels around the world. In 2016, after watching documentaries on factory farming, she went vegan, aligning her dietary choices with her values of compassion and social justice. This shift not only sparked her happiness but also led her to launch her successful blog and Instagram page, Rainbow Plant Life, where she shares innovative plant-based recipes, cooking tips, and vegan lifestyle insights. In addition to running Rainbow Plant Life, Nisha is a two-time cookbook author. Her debut book, The Vegan Instant Pot Cookbook, was published in 2019, followed by her latest work, Big Vegan Flavor: Techniques and 150 Recipes to Master Vegan Cooking, which releases in 2024. Nisha's work has been featured in major publications such as CNN, BuzzFeed, Forbes, and Elle, and she has collaborated with well-known brands like Instagram, by CHLOE, and So Delicious. Nisha continues to inspire home cooks with her fresh, globally inspired vegan dishes, offering both everyday meal ideas and special occasion recipes, all designed to make plant-based cooking accessible, flavorful, and satisfying.
