Born in Jakarta to Indonesian-Chinese parents, Patricia Tanumihardja grew up in Singapore, surrounded by her mother’s home-cooked meals and a love for reading. From a young age, she immersed herself in books, enjoying everything from Enid Blyton to Archie comics. As a twice-over immigrant, Tanumihardja is passionate about telling stories that reflect diverse experiences, hoping that all children, including her multiracial son, can see themselves in literature. She lives in the Washington D.C. area with her family, where she writes children’s stories and pursues her passion for food and cooking.
