Peruvian-Style Grilled Baby Chicken


  • 1 organic baby chicken of 1 kg approx.
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 ½ tbsp salt for the entire chicken
  • 2 tbsp fresh black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Chinese cinnamon or five-spice powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup (250 ml) lager beer
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce or mushroom-flavored soy sauce
  • Marinate the chicken in a bowl refrigerating for at least 2 Hours or until the next day.
  • On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Roast, set the time to 45 Minutes and the temperature 395˚F (200˚C). Press Start.
  • Once the Add Food message appears, open the basket, rub the chicken with dark soy sauce and place it in the basket.
  • When required, make sure to check food temperature using a thermometer.
  • When the time is up, remove carefully and serve.
  • Serve with fried potatoes made in the fryer and Creole chili pepper.
