Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup spiced rum
One taste and you’ll fall in love with this classic, warming winter drink. Spiced rum infused with dark brown sugar, a hint of holiday spices, and just the right amount of butter meld perfectly in a drink so rich it’s like having dessert in a mug.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put all dry ingredients into the Instant Pot inner pot, add 2 cups water, and stir. Secure the lid, ensuring the valve is turned to the Sealing position. Press the Pressure Cook button and set the time to 1 minute.
  2. When cooking is compete, turn the valve to the Venting position to release the pressure. Remove the lid.
  3. Add the rum to the pot and give it a stir or whisk. Ladle the buttered rum into 4 mugs and garnish each with a cinnamon stick.
