French Fry Nests


  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, cut into strips
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup chicken pieces
  • 2 cups chopped spinach
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • Peel the potatoes and grate them. Season grated potatoes with salt and olive oil. Stir well.
  • Use mini silicone muffin molds to fill with a large tbsp grated potatoes. Distribute well in the mold.
  • On the Instant Vortex control panel, press Air Fry, then set time to 15 Minutes and temperature to 355˚F (180˚C). Press Start.
  • Once Add Food appears on the display, open the basket to put in the silicone molds with the potato nests. Close.
  • When ready, unmold and fill with your choice of food.
  • If you like you can fill them with spinach, chicken, caramelized onions, red pepper, and cream cheese.
  • To do so, place onion strips in a Teflon pan, sauté until browned.
  • Add sugar, stir well, and add water. Cook for a few minutes until the sugar dissolves. Add chicken pieces, chopped spinach, red bell pepper and cream cheese.
  • Mix well until everything is well combined and seasoned. Put on top of French fry nests and serve.
